WHOA! That is a lot of sweat!” Is what I was thinking to myself as we were half way finished with our Insanity workout this morning.
Lets back up a few first.
Yesterday , My sometimes workout partner, Alejandra agreed to meet this morning at 520 am so that we that she can do Insanity with me.
We get there, NO Alejandra and as a matter of a fact, the gym room that we use to do our workouts, was not available because of painting.
I was like REALLY!
Armando, the guy that works at the counter tells me this as im checking in. “hey, Tiyona, by the way, the Group x room is open BUT smells like paint, so you might want to do your video workout somewhere else in the gym”.
So Michael and I walk around, look and I get discouraged. Then , I was told, there is a spot upstairs but you have to get there before it gets crowded.
I damn near broke my ankles trying to get up stairs.
I get up there and yes there is space, I set up and push play.
DURING THE WORKOUT
“What are you staring at it for…Get up and join us” I tell him.
It seems as if he was awaiting the invite and jumped up and joined it.
He was doing pretty good for a fellow who just walked up and decided to do Insanity. I could tell he wasn’t going to be with us long, he was already sweat soaked from his previous workout.
Once, he had enough of his mini ass kicking, he stepped back and said, “Whew! That is good. “, I turned to him and said” And this is JUST the warm up!” You should have seen his eyes…Priceless!
I think that was the moment he realized running it’s going to do it alone.
Back to the workout, I look over as I’m taking a water break and guess who I see…Alejandra! On the Stairmill!
Oh hell no!
I ran over and said “hi, we are over here come on and lets go…come on come on…we only have 10 minutes left” As she is trying to tell me she didn’t see me and yada yada yada J.
We get back over, and I missed like 30 seconds , that’s okay. We start and as she is getting warmed up and Michael and I are already kinda pooped because we only had 5 minutes left…I go back 10 minutes on the dvd!
Michael looked at me as to say “Okay, Let’s do this, but I think Alejandra, might die”
As I was working this workout, I realized that I must be in amazing fucking shape. I just did 10 extra minutes of Pure Cardio.
Wait, I just realized something, I’m getting closer and closer to my goal of being able to do Pure Cardio for 10 mins straight NO stopping or taking breaks.
LONG STORY SHORT…..WE SMASHED THAT! Lol

I’m so happy that I didn’t make excuses and I feel great that I got to do my workout.

All in all, Just don’t let “obstacles or even your own discouragement” get in your way of doing what will only be best for you. It might suck at the beginning but how soft and wonderful the wind will feel on your sweat soaked body at the end!
