Out of Gas but Not Faith ! + 2.5 hour workout summary - realtruthhurts / fit phatty

hey Fit Phattys,
Okay, this morning was a trip. I woke up late at 5am and then had the nerve to lay there and get frisky and play with my hubby. We didnt start this morning off rocking the sheets but we did have fun wrestling.
Very Fun way to start a day. My boo, goes to school and next to his school is a 24 hour fitness. I recently, like 2 weeks ago, started a membership with them.
If you know Los Angeles, then you know that traffic is terrible. I suggested, since we didnt have much gas int he car, that we pack up, clothes, shower items, and books, and laptops and take it all out there.
So we pack up and 20mins later we are on the rode and its a nice and clear drive. NEVER WOULD HAVE HAPPEN AT 9AM lol.
We were out there on the highway by 610am. We almost made it to the school and right before we got ready to get to our exit.... we ran out of gas! on the HIGHWAY!
Cars were zipping by. We thought,,maybe if we push the car, we can make it to the hill and coast all the way down to our exit, to which there is a gas station RIGHT THERE!
As I examined the roadway, cars, visibility, i said TO HELL WITH THAT! LOL i didnt want to get SMASHED on the highway.
Even though the hill wasnt far, it was too far for us to try to make it on the highway.
He checked the trunk... a gas can and it had a SMIDGET of gas in it.. yes a SMIDGET! We prayed and asked that, that little bit get us to the hill at least and i could coast that bad boi (car) down the hill.
He puts in the gas. I knew i only had one chance to do this, so i had to wait on him to get in the car.
He's in...
I check the traffic coming because i have to make sure the lane is all mine and i don't kill anyone trying to make it to the hill.
i check..
Its good, i turn the key...IT STARTS! as soon as i get ready to pull out a car gets in the lane, by this time , i have the flashers on and im already pulling out....
The car slows, and go and guess...WE MADE IT TO THE HILL!
We coasted for about 3mins down the hill until we made it to the Ventura exit. and then we glided right into the gas station.
As soon as i stop in front of the tank the car shuts off! WE MADE IT!
i just wanted to share that part of my morning with you and say that no matter what...it may seem like you are out of gas, you may think that you have to push your way to the hill, but if you just stop think for a min, you might find the gas you need to help you coast to your destination of (fuel)fulfillment.

Now for my workout today :)
Today i worked out for 2hours 45mins.
  • StairMill while wearing 10lb vest & 2lb gloves - 25 Mins Level 7  85 floors
  • Leg Press - 4 sets of 15 , started at 90/180/360/450lbs
  • One leg Press - 3 sets of 12 - 90lbs each leg
  • Smith machine - 3 sets - 50lbs/70lbs/50lbs
  • Frog Jumps to Bench - 3 sets of 10
  • Jump rope in between sets
  • Elevated Weighted Squats - 4 sets of 15 35/45/45/45
  • Step-Ladder Kick backs - 2 sets of 5
Abs-
  • Small waist workout 1
  • + 20 Pullups
As you can see i was busy, or at least i like to think so :). i put in the work because i want the results. i am not about to complain if i know i haven't put myself through the pain.
Im going to be fit, i will surpass myself each time, there is no going back.
This year is the year of "the Fit Phatty " :)

LOST ON MY BIKE RIDE & i learned something




So today I call myself going on a quick bike ride. I left out the house at 5:56am and was on the road and riding by 6:02am. I was not sure of where I was going to go this morning all I knew is I wanted to go for a ride. I had not been in a while; I kind of hurt my back a couple days ago and in was letting it rest. But when I left good enough to get on it I did, which was today.
Okay so this is what had happen: P. I got LOST this morning. Yes yes, on my bike riding around I could not, for the life of me figure out what direction I was facing. See, Los Angeles streets don’t go directly north, or south, they curve and you will not know where the hell you are. See I just moved out here so I am still getting use to this. Anyways. So I ended up riding 6 MORE MILES than I planned to and to make it worst, that ish was uphill for 2 miles straight!!!


I turned down a street I don’t usually go, even driving and that did it! I was jamming out on my bike with my music so hard, I didn’t realize where I was going. I was having sooo much fun on my bike that I just had to go go go.
So I FINALLY figured out where I was after having to put my ear to the ground and throw some grass in the air….THAT WAY!! Is what My spidey senses were telling me. Then I got to a familiar street and didn’t know which way was THE way to go…so I guess…I guessed right!! : P
So when I got home, I decided that I may as well keep with the self-torture. I went upstairs, grabbed my 25lbs plates, 2 of them, went out back and started on that bootay. I did 3 sets of walking lunges, don’t know how many, but the length was about 40 feet back and forth. I also did some donkey kicks, jump rope, and I took my barbell bar out and I did some small waist workouts.

I feel really good about my workout today. I know I did more than I expected to do, but to me that says, I need to stop BS’n around. I am more capable then I try to be. So from today forward, I’m going to give my all. …I’M WILLING TO DIE FOR IT (MY LIFE, HEALTH, HAPPINESS)
